Para champ Jack to join What To Do
Commonwealth Games gold medalist, Jack Hunter-Spivey, is set to be our star guest at this week’s exclusive What To Do session, organised in partnership with Table Tennis England.
Hunter-Spivey, who is also a Paralympic bronze medalist, will be joining the event this Wednesday (2nd August) to share his journey through table tennis with people who access care and support.
This will be a relaxed chat with Jack, with some active seated movements inspired by table tennis, and tips on how to develop your confidence – specially designed for people with learning disabilities.
The free-to-join event will take place on our award-winning online activity platform, www.What-To-Do.co.uk, at 7pm on Wednesday.
The session builds on our charity’s work to pioneer table tennis in social care, through a unique free training programme, ‘Care To Play’, which not only teaches people the fundamental skills to play table tennis, but also looks at the many ways that the sport can be adapted and used to promote health, happiness and confidence.
Our charity was also proudly awarded the Inclusion Award at the 2021 Pride of Table Tennis Awards for supporting almost 200 care services to access table tennis starter packs during the early months of the coronavirus pandemic, helping to keep people physically and mentally stimulated during lockdown.
