Community Integrated Care Shortlisted For Five 3rd Sector Care Awards
We are pleased to announce that we have been shortlisted for an incredible five awards at the 3rd Sector Care Awards.
The ceremony takes place in December and will see our talented colleagues recognised alongside the very best national care professionals and services.
Congratulations to our 3rd Sector Care Award Finalists:
Innovative Quality Outcomes and Citizenship Awards – Community Integrated Care and Widnes Vikings
This year, we formed possibly the most ambitious partnership between a professional sports club and a care provider, working with the Super League club Widnes Vikings. We’re thrilled that this has been shortlisted in two categories, recognising the creativity of the partnership and how it has enabled the people we support to lead fuller lives.

End of Life Care Award – EachStep Blackley
Our pioneering specialist dementia care home, EachStep Blackley, has been recognised for its hard work to ensure the people they support are cared for in comfort, when reaching the end of their lives.
They have been acknowledged for their stunning new personalised family room – which enables families to be close to their loved ones as much as possible – as well as their excellent collaboration with external professionals such as Macmillan teams and Palliative link Groups. They have also taken great steps to make sure that the bedrooms of the people they support are as comfortable as possible.
End of Life Care – Lealholm Crescent
Earlier this year, our dedicated team at Lealholm Crescent said goodbye to a person they had supported for many years, who sadly passed away within a month of being diagnosed with cancer. This was the first time the staff had ever provided end of life care, and we’re really proud that the team have been recognised for their hard work and dedication.
In his final days, staff went above and beyond to ensure that his last weeks were filled with love and happiness by organising fun days out to his favourite places. They also arranged a touching memorial service for family and friends, planting a tree in the garden that he dearly loved.
