Barry recognised for 20 years’ service

The enthusiasm and commitment of Barry Greenhough, a person supported by our Vocational Support Service in St Helens and long-standing Warehouse Operative for Liverpool-based medical device manufacturers and distributors, Algeos, has been recognised in a special presentation, celebrating his 20 years of service at the organisation.

Barry first secured his role as a Warehouse Operative for Algeos in 2003, and is supported in his role there by our charity’s Vocational Support Service, which empowers adults with learning disabilities and autism to gain paid employment and voluntary work.

In a ceremony at Algeos’ warehouse in Speke, Barry was joined by family members and colleagues, as he was presented with gifts and congratulations in celebration of the milestone.

Working in the manufacturing department packaging products, Barry is a well-loved and respected member of the team. Just last year, Barry’s efforts were recognised formally at Algeos’ company-wide meeting, where he was officially presented with an award in front of more than 50 colleagues, for his outstanding work ethic.

Barry said, “I love my job at Algeos and always really look forward to going to work. I was so happy and proud to have my family join me at work for the presentation. It was really nice to receive a card and gift to celebrate my 20 years here.”
