Community Integrated Care Shortlisted for Six National Communications Awards

We’re delighted to announce that our charity has been nominated for six top accolades at the Chartered Institute of PR (CIPR) #insidestory Awards.

This success recognises the efforts of our charity to deliver innovative approaches to communications and improve engagement with our 6000-strong workforce.

The CIPR #insideawards nationally recognise and reward best practice in internal communications.

Topping the nominations leader board with six nominations across several prestigious categories, our Internal Communications & Engagement team of two have been recognised with a ‘Best In-House Team’ nomination, following a host of successes throughout 2016. Danielle Chan, who created the team only 18 months ago, has also been shortlisted for the ‘Future Leader’ Award, acknowledging her significant achievements and contribution to the industry.

Our talented team have been recognised for a range of work, including the launch of the organisation’s first ever Employee Forum, GameChangers. Aimed at improving employee voice and involvement within the charity, the multi-channel launch campaign for this exciting initiative resulted in nominations from the CIPR judges in three categories: ‘Best Employee Engagement Programme’, ‘Best Internal Communication Campaign’ and ‘Best Charity Campaign’.

The team’s sixth nomination is for ‘Best Print Magazine’, commending the revamp and relaunch of the charity’s much-loved magazine, You First.

Our success sees us placed alongside a host of national brands, including: KPMG, Nationwide, BUPA, Co-Op and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. The ceremony takes place at ZSL London Zoo on Thursday 23rd February.

These award nominations follow on from a successful 2016 for our Internal Communications Team. Last year saw them win ‘Best In-House Team’ and ‘Best Live Event’ at the Institute of Internal Communications (IoIC) Awards and ‘Best Internal Communications Campaign’ at the Chartered Institute of PR (CIPR) Pride North West Awards.

Danielle Chan, Head of Internal Communications & Engagement, said: “Although we are only a fairly new team, we are proud to have achieved an incredible amount in such a short time. It’s been a huge year for us and I’m thrilled that all of our hard work has been recognised by the CIPR – the vanguard of Public Relations in Europe.”

“What drives us is our knowledge that for the people we support to lead the best lives possible, it is vital that our colleagues are well informed and feel engaged with our charity. To receive such positive feedback for our creativity and accomplishments in delivering this is a tremendous honour. It is an amazing achievement for our charity and small team to be placed alongside Britain’s biggest businesses.”

Danielle continues: “I was overjoyed to find out I’d been shortlisted for the ‘Future Leader’ Award. It’s an incredible honour to be selected amongst so many of my talented peers. I’ve had the opportunity to lead on some really exciting and innovative initiatives but I could never have received this nomination without the hard work and dedication of the team behind me.”
