Our charity takes on London Zoo!

On Tuesday 18th June, a group of over 70 colleagues and people supported by Community Integrated Care enjoyed a big day out at London Zoo, in celebration of Learning Disability Week.

With people we support coming together from across the UK, new friendships were formed and memories made as everyone took in the fantastic sensory sights of the Zoo, even using specially made easy-read guides to enhance their trip.

This experience was made possible thanks to a generous donation of reduced tickets from London Zoo and ZSL.

Pamela Johnson, a person we support in Wigan, told us, “This is my first big trip in over 5 years and not only did I get to see lots of different animals at the Zoo but I also stayed the night in London and shopped till I dropped the next day! It was an amazing experience and one I won’t forget!”
