Sporting Partnerships
Our charity’s thriving partnership with professional sports clubs bring fun and new experiences into the lives of the people we support.
We’ve built thriving partnerships with professional sports clubs such as football clubs Middlesbrough FC, Blackburn Rovers and Portsmouth FC, and Rugby League clubs Widnes Vikings, St Helens, Leeds Rhinos and Wakefield.
Sport at the heart of the community
By partnering with Super League and the Rugby Football League, we’ve created the Community Integrated Care Learning Disability Super League. It’s all about social inclusion and giving people with learning disabilities the opportunity to develop skills, confidence and positive experiences. This world-first initiative is a genuinely unique example of a professional sports league sharing its brand with a learning disability sports programme.
Official Social Care Partner of the Rugby League World Cup 2021
We’ve teamed up with the Rugby Football League and the Rugby League World Cup 2021 to be the Official Social Care Partner of the Rugby League World Cup 2021 which will be hosted in England. We’ll be creating once in a lifetime experiences for people supported by Community Integrated Care, as well as giving opportunities for those with support needs to be included in the Rugby League World Cup like never before!
Supporting during the pandemic
During the Covid pandemic, we teamed up with the Rugby Football League and the Rugby League World Cup 2021 to create a special arts and activity toolkit – an entertaining resource to pass the time during lockdown. Ready to react when needed, we gladly welcomed the support of Liverpool FC Foundation and Widnes Vikings to help deliver badly needed PPE during the first heights of Covid.
