More Award Success for Community Integrated Care

Community Integrated Care is proud to have taken home a top honour at the Great British Home Care Awards this weekend, and was shortlisted for two further accolades.

Marek Dziankowski, Manager at Street Lane in Leeds, a supported living service for young men with Autism, picked up the ‘Frontline Leaders’ Award. Marek has helped to transform their lives, providing them with excellent day-to-day support and helping them to achieve their personal ambitions, such as attending college and performing with theatre groups.

Judges described Marek as ‘a credit to the profession, who is passionate about his team and the people he supports’. Marek reached the national final after winning the same award at the Great Yorkshire and Humberside Care Awards, which were held in November in York.

Also shortlisted on the night was John King, Manager of Community Integrated Care’s Stockton Homecare Services, who was nominated for the ‘Dignity in Care’ Award, and the Gilmorton Team, who were in the running for the ‘Care Team’ Award.

The Great British Home Care Awards are one of the social care sectors top honours, paying tribute to individuals and organisations who deliver excellence in community based support. The event was hosted by comedian Patrick Monaghan.

Community Integrated Care’s Chief Executive, Neil Matthewman, says: “I would like to congratulate Marek for his well-deserved achievement in receiving this prestigious award, as well as our other nominees. Supporting younger people in the transition throughout the years from school days to adulthood is a huge responsibility and Marek does a great job of helping them achieve their dreams.”
