Regional Director to speak at Care Show
Community Integrated Care is proud to be speaking at the Care Show in Bournemouth, on 25th March, sharing our ambitious organisational development plans.
Graham Birkett, Regional Director for the North East, will be delivering a presentation called: ‘Community Integrated Care and the Care Act – A changing organisation in a changing world’ at the exciting national event.
In it, he will explain how we are responding to the aims of the Care Act with an ambitious programme of modernisation and transformation. He will describe our innovative personalisation project, which aims to introduce innovative person-centred planning tools across the organisation and further empower the people we supports to take control of their services and our organisation. His presentation will demonstrate how by changing the balance of power in our organisation, building true partnerships with commissioners and investing in quality and innovation, Community Integrated Care is getting set for the future.
This presentation is of great significance to Graham, as his greatest passion is involving people who access support and their families to ensure person-centred services. Throughout his career he has led a number of successful projects to support people to participate in the development of services and influence the direction of organisations.
Graham says, “I am very excited to be representing Community Integrated Care at this conference. Our charity has learned a lot over the first two and a half years of our strategy, and it is important that we share this to benefit other providers, commissioners and people who access support. I am looking forward to sharing how we are transforming Community Integrated Care, by responding to the Care Act and the voice of the people we support.”
Graham is a finalist at the upcoming national Great British Home Care Awards, in the Frontline Leader category, recognising his transformative leadership skills.
