CEO Speaks at Westminster Health Forum Conference

Today (8^th June 2022), Community Integrated Care’s Chief Executive Officer, Mark Adams, will present as a keynote speaker at Westminster Health Forum’s policy conference – ‘Priorities for integrated health and social care in England’.

With topics for discussion including local leadership, technological innovation, and population health, the conference will bring together stakeholders and policymakers from a variety of influential organisations to assess the Government’s ‘Joining up care for people, places and populations’ white paper.

Facilitating discussions around how the delivery of care can be transformed, the conference will also explore the potential implications of such changes, both for organisations who provide and people who access care.

As part of his presentation, Mark will speak on the present difficulties faced by the social care sector, as well as the essential role of social care within society – touching on the findings from our landmark Unfair To Care report, launched last Summer.

Mark will also be discussing solutions to relieve the pressure felt on our sector, calling for greater collaboration with providers, mutual understanding between both health and social care, and for increased attention to the voices of those who draw upon care.

Speaking on his appearance at the conference, Mark Adams said, “I take great pride in being invited to speak and represent our charity at Westminster Health Forum’s conference today. As it has become abundantly clear, social care is under-funded, under-supported, and under-connected – however, as I will show, there are changes we can make so it does not have to be this way.”

“With both stakeholders and important policy officials in attendance, I look forward to discussing how social care providers can be recognised, to give them a real seat at the table.”

The conference will take place this morning, from 9am to 1pm, online, with Mark’s presentation beginning at 10:30am.
