We mark the passing of Her Majesty The Queen

A statement from Mark Adams, CEO, and Libby Raper, Chair of the Board of Trustees, on the passing of Her Majesty The Queen:

“Today, we join so many other organisations and individuals in expressing our great sadness at the passing of Her Majesty The Queen.

Throughout her incredible 70-year reign as monarch, The Queen has been a beacon of leadership for us all, especially throughout some of the most testing times we’ve faced as a nation.

During the Covid-19 pandemic in particular, The Queen stood in solidarity with the social care sector, and we’re forever grateful for the comfort and strength she gave to so many.

Whilst our country enters a period of mourning and reflection, we know the sadness of Her Majesty’s passing will be felt throughout the world. We hope that everyone can take comfort from her wonderful legacy, and celebrate her extraordinary life and the dedication with which she served the nation.

As an organisation, we offer our deepest sympathies and sincerest condolences to Her Majesty The Queen’s children, grandchildren and the rest of the Royal Family at this sad time.”
