We Respond to Chancellor’s Announcement

Following today’s announcement by Chancellor, Jeremy Hunt, our Chief People Officer, Teresa Exelby, has released the following statement:

“Community Integrated Care welcomes the Chancellor’s announcement that he will reverse what we considered to be the most indefensible aspects of the Truss-Kwarteng mini-budget.

We hope the reinstated £32bn in tax will fund the promised support for the social care sector where the need for immediate financial intervention is absolutely critical to ensure we can pay our workers a fair wage and step back from the precipice that the recruitment and retention crisis has led us to.”
