Community Integrated Care joins Association for Real Change
Community Integrated Care is proud to announce its membership of the Association for Real Change (ARC) in England and Scotland.
Our charity is currently pursuing an ambitious strategy with the aim of becoming the ‘The UK’s Leading Health and Social Care Charity’. This has seen us develop The Golden Thread – a bold programme that promotes true personalsiation and the voice of the people it supports. The Golden Thread is a long-term programme that sees the charity embed leading person-centred planning tools, pursue an involvement strategy that gives the people it supports direct input into their organisational strategy, and advance its use of Peer Reviewers – people it supports who are employed as experts by experience.
Community Integrated Care has also committed to forming partnerships with leading local and national groups, to both enhance the services they deliver and make a positive contribution to the social care sector. Community Integrated Care’s membership of ARC will support it to achieve these ambitious strategic aims.
Neil Matthewman, Chief Executive of Community Integrated Care, says: “Association for Real Change puts the rights of people with learning disabilities at the forefront of all that they do; similarly, Community Integrated Care is committed to championing the rights and inclusion of the people we support. We are pleased to be part of ARC in England and Scotland, and are looking forward to being active members of this important organisation.”
