Best Lives at 35: Celebrating our 35th Birthday

Community Integrated Care was proud to celebrate its 35th birthday on Wednesday 15th March, marking the occasion by showcasing the incredible stories of some of our brilliant colleagues over the years.

On 15th March 1988, Community Integrated Care was founded by Dr David Robertson, to empower people to live full and happy lives in their communities. Since then, we’ve grown to become one of Britain’s most innovative and successful care providers.

In honour of this milestone, we were delighted to share the launch of a special edition of You First magazine, looking back on some of the most inspiring people, achievements and events from our charity’s rich history.

You First is our charity’s magazine for supporters of Community Integrated Care. In each exciting edition we showcase the very best of what’s happening across our organisation and give you an insight into life in our great charity. Read this special edition of You First here!

Throughout the week we also shared a range of amazing stories across our social media channels, highlighting people who’ve shaped our charity from 1988 to today.

To encourage our colleagues and the people we support could get into the party spirit, we created a special Party Pack – including an 80s-themed playlist, our big Best Lives Quiz, and creative activities to enjoy during our charity’s birthday week.

Ending the day’s celebrations on a high we were excited to be joined by a special guest, DJ Birchy, on What-To-Do.co.uk, for an online disco featuring classic 80s hits.
