Shortlisted for 4 National Awards

Community Integrated Care are proud to have been shortlisted for four National Learning Disabilities and Autism Awards, celebrating colleagues and projects that are making an incredible impact across our charity.

With winners set to be announced on 30^th June, the awards recognise excellence in supporting people with learning disabilities and autism, honouring people and groups who provide exceptional care.

First, Community Integrated Care, as an organisation, are pleased to have been shortlisted for the Care Employer Award, celebrating the charity as a leading employer and care provider in the sector.

In recognition of our charity’s fantastic sporting partnerships, our Inclusive Volunteering programme has also been shortlisted for the Sporting Chance Award, whilst Matt Price, our Sports Inclusion Assistant, is a finalist for the Care Newcomer Award, celebrating an outstanding professional, new to the care sector.

Finally, our Quality Advisors are delighted to have been shortlisted for the Breaking Down Barriers Award. As people supported by Community Integrated Care who utilise their experiences to improve the quality of our services, the nomination celebrates the group’s work promoting the voices of other people supported by the charity.

On this fantastic news, Matt Price shared, “I am so honoured to be shortlisted for the Care Newcomer Award! My role with Community Integrated Care has really changed my life in ways I never imagined, I’ve gained confidence, made new friends and developed so many new skills. To be up for an award for my work on top of all this is the cherry on the cake. I’m so proud and feel really priveleged to be helping to change people’s lives in my job, like mine has been changed by the charity, too, and I can’t wait to celebrate at the awards with the other finalists!”
