Neil Matthewman Press ReleaseDame Joan Stringer, Chair of Community Integrated Care, says: “On behalf of the Board of Trustees, we can confirm that it has been agreed with Neil Matthewman that he will step down as Chief Executive of Community Integrated Care.

“During recent discussions, it has been recognised by all parties that Community Integrated Care, and the wider Health & Social Care sector, face a crucial period of challenge and opportunity, and we agreed that the time is right for new leadership.

“We appreciate the contribution that Neil has made to Community Integrated Care in the last 5 years and we recognise the range of important achievements and development which have been delivered under his stewardship. We would like to thank Neil for the professional manner in which he has approached our discussions.

“Neil leaves with immediate effect and handover arrangements are being confirmed. The Board will be initiating a process of recruitment to secure a successor. In the meantime, our Executive Team will, of course, continue to manage a smooth transition and will handle any enquiries you may have.”

“Since I joined Community Integrated Care, I have met and worked with some really great people and I have also visited parts of the country I have never been to before! In visiting our different Regions, I have been impressed by the dedication and commitment to the people we support and the values which underpin this.

“We have come a long way in five years, but it’s now the right time for a new leader to take the organisation to the next stage in its development.

“From a personal perspective, I would like to thank everyone for all their hard work and to wish our staff and the people we support, all the best for the future.”
