We’re shortlisted for Charity of the Year!

Community Integrated Care are proud to have made the shortlist for this week’s Charity Times Awards, where we’ve been nominated for three accolades, including the coveted Charity of the Year (with an income of more than £10 million) title.

Recognised for making great strides towards the goals and commitments in our Best Lives Possible strategy, this sees Community Integrated Care nominated for the prestigious accolade for the fifth year in a row, with previous winners including Scouts, FareShare UK and Langley House Trust.

Our charity’s innovative TEC and Information Technology teams have also been acknowledged at this year’s event in the Best Use of Technology category. Both teams have worked to roll out state-of-the-art equipment and resources to increase the independence of the people we support and make the lives of our colleagues easier.

Topping off the trio of nominations is recognition of our ground-breaking collaboration with Sport England for Corporate National Partnership Champion. Thanks to this relationship, our charity has been able to create our world-first Inclusive Volunteering Programme, which has since given hundreds of people who have support needs, such as learning disabilities, autism and mental health concerns, the platform to grow in independence, discover new passions and make friends through volunteering.

The event is hosted by Charity Times, the charity sector’s leading business and management magazine, and will take place tomorrow, Wednesday 20^th September, in London. The awards celebrate and promote best practices in the UK not-for-profit sector, bringing together some of the country’s most influential and inspirational charities.

Whilst last year saw us officially launch our charity’s new vision, Best Lives Possible, over the past 12 months, I have been really proud to see this come to life.”
