Brian Murphy appointed to CCPS Board
Community Integrated Care’s Regional Director for Scotland, Brian Murphy, has been appointed to the Board of the Coalition of Care and Support Providers in Scotland (CCPS).
CCPS is a national membership organisation, which features more than 70 of the largest care and support providers in Scotland’s third sector. In total, members of CCPS support approximately 200,000 people and oversee a total annual income in excess of £1.3 billion (2012-13).
In his role as Regional Director for Scotland, Brian oversees our entire portfolio of services in the nation, which accounts for over 20% of Community Integrated Care’s overall provision. He has over 30 years’ experience in the Health and Social Care sector, having worked for a range of bodies – from the Health Board to voluntary and private organisations, as well as in social work.
Brian’s appointment to the CCPS Board comes as part of our Five Year Strategy, which includes becoming ‘members of, and partners with, key associations and groups that will support our aims’ as a primary objective.
Brian Murphy says, “It was a tremendous honour to be elected to the CCPS Board. Organisations like CCPS play a vital role in uniting the sector, so we can collaborate, share ideas and innovate together. I am looking forward to playing an active role on the Board and sharing the experience that I have gained through Community Integrated Care’s own ambitious programme of investment, improvement and transformation.”
