Broad Lane welcome special visitors from DHSC
Community Integrated Care was proud to welcome representatives from the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) to our Broad Lane Supported Living Service in Leeds on Tuesday 19th November.
The visit provided a unique opportunity to showcase some of our charity’s biggest achievements, particularly in supporting our colleagues with wellbeing and learning and development, and how our dedicated teams support people to live with choice, independence, and confidence within their local community.
As part of the DHSC’s Policy School visits, the day also offered the guests insight into some of the barriers faced in health and social care, as well as a deeper understanding of the critical role of our social care workforce, including the skills, responsibilities, and the passion that drives our services forward.
Community Integrated Care’s Managing Director, Edd Terrey, joined the visit and reflected on the day. He said, “It was fantastic to welcome DHSC to our Broad Lane service today as part of their Policy School visits, and shine a light on the remarkable work that our teams do. Our colleagues are passionate about creating opportunities for the people we support to live their best, most independent lives, and it was wonderful to see that celebrated. It was also a joy to see the people we support proudly showing the guests around their home. The visit was a testament to the brilliance of our frontline teams and the skill and commitment they bring to their roles, in empowering and enabling the people they support.”
