Community Integrated Care Appoints apetito as Care Home Catering Partner

Community Integrated Care has appointed apetito as the catering provider for our care homes for older people. This move, which took place following a rigorous selection process by our staff, the people we support and their loved ones, aims to provide the highest quality of dining experience to our residents.

From September 2016, people who live in our 24 specialist older people’s care services will enjoy a new and improved dining experience, delivered by the award-winning apetito. The company are the UK’s leading creator of meals for the health and social care sector. They have won the UK’s highest business accolade, The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation twice.

Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s biggest and most successful health and social care charities, supporting over 5000 people with care and support needs. We have made this appointment as part of an effort to modernise and promote the highest standards of personalisation in all of our services.

Partnering with apetito will offer our care home residents over 250 meal options, all of which have been scientifically researched and tested, and are sustainably sourced. Importantly, we found that apetito excelled in offering freedom of choice in meal plans and catering for people who have special dietary requirements, such as dysphagia (swallowing problems), as well as clear passion and value.
