Community Integrated Care celebrates Nutrition & Hydration Week!
Community Integrated Care staff, the people we support and their loved ones were given food for thought this month as they marked Nutrition & Hydration Week in style.
Nutrition & Hydration Week, backed by the NHS, aims to promote the significance of good nutrition and hydration in health and social care environments.
Many Community Integrated Care services took part to support this important campaign, including Brookvale, a supported living service in Runcorn, where staff and tenants made delicious vitamin-packed smoothies.
Also involved were the staff and residents of Pemberton Fold Care Home in Salford, who enjoyed a feast of tasty cakes at their afternoon tea event.
Community Integrated Care’s flagship dementia service EachStep Blackley in Greater Manchester celebrated Nutrition & Hydration Week by introducing their new vitamin enriched juice machines, which residents can use whenever they wish. The machines have proved a hit at the service, encouraging residents to help themselves and stay hydrated at all times!
