Community Integrated Care Proudly Sponsors U10s Rugby League Club
Community Integrated Care is proud to sponsor West Bank Bears Under 10’s rugby league club, supporting 20 young people follow their dreams of becoming professional rugby league players. Our sponsorship will help provide each of the ambitious young players with a brand new sports kit.
The West Bank Bears U10s, based in Widnes where our charity was founded, are coached by former Widnes Vikings and St Helens rugby league legend, John Stankevitch, who is a great supporter of our charity.
John regularly visits our care homes, reminiscing about his incredible rugby league experiences with the people we support. His charity, The Cathie Stankevitch Foundation, also provides rewarding volunteering opportunities for the people we support, so it’s a great honour for our charity to be able to give something back to John and the local community.
West Bank Bears U10s coach, John Stankevitch, thanked our charity, saying: “The sponsorship that Community Integrated Care has provided is fantastic and goes much further than simply allowing us to purchase a new rugby kit for the 2017 season.”
He added: “Rugby League is a sport which provides our young people with opportunities to make friends and grow relationships and not only that, they train and play together as a team, which creates life-long bonds between them. Having the opportunity to wear a brand new kit during matches, fills them with pride, and reinforces the ‘team ethic’ that we have.”
