We’re Shortlisted for Two Skills for Care Accolades

Community Integrated Care have overcome hundreds of other social care organisations across the country by securing a place in the finals of the Skills for Care Accolades in two categories. The national event rewards organisations in the social care sector who invest in their workforce so they can offer high-quality services.

Skills for Care Accolades

Community Integrated Care support people with learning disabilities, autism and dementia across England and Scotland, and employ over 6,000 colleagues nationwide. The charity has been shortlisted for two categories at the prestigious ceremony, ‘Best Employer (of over 250 staff)’ and ‘Most effective collaborative approach to new models of care’, for the ground-breaking sports inclusion programme, The Community Integrated Care Learning Disability Super League.

Skills for Care is an organisation dedicated to workforce development in adult social care in England. The organisation stated that all finalists demonstrated their expertise in recruiting the right people with strong core values and that they had succeeded in developing their staff’s skills and knowledge to meet the needs of the people they support and can demonstrate the way they developed strong leaders and managers in their services.

Mark Adams, CEO of Community Integrated Care said, “We’re absolutely thrilled to make the shortlist in not one, but two incredible categories at the Skills for Care Accolades 2020. To be publicly recognised by Skills for Care – an organisation dedicated to workforce development in adult social care in England is nothing short of exceptional.”

He continued, “It highlights the fantastic work we’re doing here at Community Integrated Care in making our organisation a really great place to work. This is testament to the incredible work everyone in our charity is doing to drive our strategy forward.”

He continued, “Competition in all categories was fierce, but the judges were impressed by the way Community Integrated Care offer their workers learning and development opportunities at every stage of their careers which means they can deliver high quality care that meet the individual needs of the people they work with.”

This is the 16th year of the Skills for Care Accolades, celebrating the outstanding work of adult social care by the 1.49 million people who work in the sector. The event will take place on Wednesday 22nd January 2020 in London.
