Community Integrated Care to Support One Voice Mela

Community Integrated Care is proud to announce that it will be a key sponsor of the One Voice Baiter Sehat Mela.

The Mela, incorporating the Baiter Sehat project in partnership with Blackburn and Darwen Council, aims to promote health in the local community. The aim of the Baiter Sehat project, which is in partnership with Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, is to deliver both community education initiatives and integrate information into existing health promotion activity in the local BME community.

Our charity has partnered with One Voice, who are a leading community development charity that promotes greater engagement and social cohesion amongst the most deprived and disadvantaged people of Blackburn. One Voice have strong links with the local South Asian community, and are supporting us to ensure that our service is inclusive of the entire local community.

Neil Matthewman, Chief Executive of Community Integrated Care said, “The One Voice Mela supports better health, happiness and inclusion in the local community.

“At Community Integrated Care we share these exact same aims for our new EachStep Blackburn dementia care service.

“One Voice are key partners of ours and have helped us make great connections in the local community. We are delighted to be supporting them, and this event, as a key sponsor.”

This year’s Mela will include a health and well-being tent, as well as health stalls with health professionals on hand to answer any of your questions. There will be many fun activities for children and parents alike.

One Voice Chairman, Abrar Hussain said “Following the success of previous year’s event, we are really looking forward to the Baiter Sehat Mela. It will be a fun and informative day.

“Engaging with the public on health issues in the community is a crucial way of raising awareness.

“One Voice has been working with the Borough Council to deliver the Baiter Sehat project, and the Mela will be the flagship event for the campaign.”
