Community Integrated Care triumph at Care Awards
Community Integrated Care is delighted to have recognised at the Great North West Care Awards, receiving four awards at the glittering event, including the top honour of ‘Care Employer Award’. It was also shortlisted in a further four categories at the event, which took place on Friday 11th October.
The ‘Care Employer Award’ celebrates organisations that demonstrate high standards of care and a dedication to development and improvement. Community Integrated Care was commended by judges for its deep-rooted values and commitment to driving continuous innovation and improvement.
Also victorious on the night was Adrienne Ratcliffe, Registered Nurse at St Luke’s Care Home in Runcorn, who scooped the ‘Dignity in Care Award’. The panel recognised Adrienne’s successful role as an ambassador for dignity and her passion for raising standards of person-centred care.
Staff from EachStep Blackley, Community Integrated Care’s pioneering dementia service collected two awards at the ceremony, with Home Manager Michelle Phillips victorious in the ‘Care Home Registered Manager Award’, while Care & Activity Worker Christine Cundall who took home the ‘Care Home Worker Award’. Their colleagues Rachel Watson and Alan Howells were shortlisted for the ‘Care Home Worker Award’ and ‘Outstanding Contribution to Social Care Award’ respectively.
Also shortlisted at the awards was Sue McLean, Community Integrated Care’s Director of Care Services and Outcomes, who was shortlisted for the ‘Care Innovator Award’, and Donna Johnson, of Kemp Lodge Care Home in Waterloo, who was up for the ‘Care Home Hydration and Nutrition Award’.
The Great North West Care Awards, supported by the Department of Health, are part of the Great British Care Awards, a series of regional awards which celebrate the excellence of those who work in the care sector. All of Community Integrated Care’s winners will now go forward to the prestigious Great British Care Awards national final in London next year, to represent their region.
Community Integrated Care’s Chief Executive, Neil Matthewman, says: “It was a tremendous honour for us to collect the Care Employer Award, recognising our commitment to developing our staff and enhancing the lives of the people we support.”
