Dignity Accreditation for Manchester Services

Two Community Integrated Care services have been awarded Manchester City Council’s ‘Daisy’ Dignity in Care accreditation, in recognition of their commitment to upholding the rights and dignity of the people they support.

Dignity Accreditation for Manchester ServicesThe Peele care home in Wythenshawe and CIC’s Manchester Domiciliary Care Service were both presented with the accolade on February 4th by Councillor Glynn Evans, Executive Member for Adults Health at Manchester City Council.

To achieve this standard, the services took part in an intensive programme which saw them evidence their attainment of the Social Care Institute of Excellence’s 10 Point Dignity Challenge and undertake a series of rigorous external assessments.

Debbie Lanceley, CIC’s Regional Manager for Manchester, says: “I am very proud that both services’ commitment to delivering high-quality, dignity-focussed support has been recognised with these accreditations. This honour really demonstrates that at Community Integrated Care we put the needs of the individual first and are focussed on delivering care with dignity at its heart.”
