MP Clive Betts Visits Beighton Road

Community Integrated Care was delighted to welcome Clive Betts, MP for Sheffield South East, to our Beighton Road Supported Living service in Sheffield last Friday 14th February, where he met with colleagues and people we support, to see first-hand the impact of our teams.

Clive Betts MP visits people supported at Beighton Road in SheffieldBeighton Road supports 16 adults with a range of support needs, including learning disabilities and autism. During his visit, Clive had the opportunity to tour the service and speak with the incredible team who dedicate themselves to enabling people to live full, independent lives in their own homes.

Clive also spent time with the people we support, learning about how personalised care empowers them to achieve their goals and aspirations.

Speaking of his visit, Mr Betts said, “I had a great time visiting Community Integrated Care. The charity provides crucial support to ensure that people thrive and enjoy life. The team have a real drive to provide this support, and it was very much on display at my visit. They are doing really important work that we need to protect and secure going forward.”

Jim Kane, Community Integrated Care’s Chief Executive Officer, also attended the visit. He said, “It was fantastic to welcome MP Clive Betts to Beighton Road and showcase the dedication and skill of our colleagues. Every day, our teams support people to live great lives full of joy, opportunity and choice. Visits like this are so important in demonstrating the value of social care and the incredible impact of our workforce. We were delighted to have Clive with us to meet some of the amazing people we support and to see firsthand the difference that great, person-centred care makes.”
