New Trustee visits Scotland services

Last week, Community Integrated Care’s Brook Street and Baingle Brae services, located in Stirling and Tullibody respectively, had the pleasure of welcoming our newest Trustee, Jon Akehurst, who visited to hear firsthand about the incredible work being done by our teams and meet some of the brilliant people supported by our charity.

Jon brings extensive expertise across a range of industries, including branded consumer goods, manufacturing, and international development. His passion for the care sector is driven from his own personal experiences of caring for his daughter, who has complex care needs.

The visit, which was led by our Managing Director of Scotland, Sara Murphy,  provided Jon with the opportunity to connect with everyone at both services, alongside Community Integrated Care’s Scotland Regional Manager, Clare Mcmurchie.

Clare Mcmurchie, Regional Manager, said,We were delighted to welcome Jon to Baingle Brae and Brook Street – both really special services that support local people to be independent in their community. The visit was really positive, and Jon made some great connections with the people we support and our colleagues, so much so that hes been invited back to future events at the services”.

She continued, “I’d like to say a huge thank you to him for taking the time to visit uswe can’t wait to show him even more of our incredible work here across Scotland“.
