Our CEO joins National Care Forum Board
Community Integrated Care is proud to announce that our Chief Executive Officer, Jim Kane, has been elected to join the Board of Directors for the National Care Forum (NCF) – the leading association for not-for-profit social care.
Having been voted to the voluntary position at the NCF’s AGM, Jim will work alongside fellow Board members to discuss important topics and contribute perspectives from across the social care sector – in particular, sharing our charity’s expertise and insights around Complex Care, Technology Enabled Care and supporting adults with a range of support needs, to live fulfilling and independent lives in their communities.
Jim was elected alongside Rachael Dodgson, Chief Executive of Dimensions, and joins the existing board comprising of Andy Cole of Royal Star & Garter, Maxine Espley of Green Square Accord, Oona Goldsworthy of Brunelcare, Brian James of Cedarmore Housing Association, Rob Martin of Anchor Hanover, Maria Mills of Active Prospects, Martin Rix of Belong, Alison Waller of Corserv Care, and re-elected members – Sarah Clarke-Kuehn, Chief Operating Officer of Sanctuary and Dan Hayes, Chief Executive of The Orders of St John Care Trust.
Jim said, “I am honoured to join the National Care Forum’s Board of Directors and to collaborate with such inspiring leaders from across the care sector. This opportunity comes at a pivotal time, as we face significant challenges that demand a united voice for social care. The National Care Forum plays a vital role in representing and supporting our dedicated workforce—people who are incredibly hard-working, passionate, and skilled. I look forward to contributing my experience and insights to champion social care, advocate for our incredible colleagues, and help shape a brighter future for the sector.”
Speaking of the appointment, Professor Vic Rayner OBE, Chief Executive Officer at NCF, said: “We are very pleased to welcome, and congratulate Rachael Dodgson, Chief Executive of Dimensions and Jim Kane, Chief Executive Officer of Community Integrated Care who have been elected to our board…the expertise and breadth of knowledge of these new board members, combined with the continued commitment and support provided by the existing board will further equip NCF to represent not-for-profit care provision at a time when our members, and the wider adult social care sector, are under continued strain.”
