Our CEO on new Archbishops Commission Report

The Church of England’s Archbishops’ Commission has published a new report, ‘Care and Support Reimagined: a National Care Covenant for England’, demonstrating a new vision for the social care sector.

Our Chief Executive Officer, Jim Kane, has responded to the recommendations:-

“We welcome the comments made in the new report by the Archbishops’ Commission, ‘Care and Support Reimagined’, at such a pivotal time for the social care sector.

Calling for three key actions, including rethinking attitudes to care and support; rebalancing roles and responsibilities; and redesigning the social care system – the recommendations align heavily with findings from our Unfair To Care research, published in December.

Report after report, now calls for change. At a time when the sector is losing an unprecedented number of talented and dedicated colleagues, we urgently need action from Government to fix the crisis in social care once and for all.”
