Our Marketing team wins Chartered Institute of Marketing Award
Community Integrated Care’s Communications and Marketing Team received one of the marketing industry’s highest honours last night, when they collected a top award at the Chartered Institute of Marketing Northern Awards.
The team of three won the In-House Team of the Year Award at the event, which was held in Liverpool on Thursday 19th June.
The Chartered Institute of Marketing is the world’s largest professional marketing body. The event was part of the International Festival of Business and recognised exceptional approaches to marketing, delivered by businesses and marketing agencies from across the North of England and Scotland.
The team received their award after achieving high-profile PR and marketing successes, which were described by judges as “astounding and fantastic.”
They delivered a highly ambitious marketing and PR strategy this year, which has given Community Integrated Care a greater profile and more distinctive brand identity. On a limited budget, the team oversaw a complete rebrand for our charity, moving us from the acronym of CIC to our full name of Community Integrated Care. They also secured extensive coverage in a host national, local and care sector media, and achieved over 40 award nominations for our care services. These successes have supported our charity to grow significantly and develop new strategic partnerships with key figures in the social care sector.
As well as raising the external profile of our charity, they also managed significant internal communications campaigns with our staff and the people we support, helping them understand and contribute to Community Integrated Care’s ambitious new five year strategy, which has the vision of us becoming ‘The UK’s Leading Health and Social Care Charity’.
Judges for the CIM Northern Awards, said: “The Community Integrated Care team have delivered an outstanding return on their total departmental spend. With exceptionally constrained resources, they have achieved an incredible amount on year. We were astounded by their work and the fantastic results achieved by just 3 people, that has given the charity a disproportionate share of voice in their sector.”
John Hughes, Communications and Marketing Manager for Community Integrated Care, says: “It was an incredible honour for our team to be recognised at the CIM Northern Awards. Every marketeer wants to work for an organisation that has something great to promote – we have this at Community Integrated Care, a charity that changes the lives of thousands of people. This year we’ve been able to deliver some incredible projects, which have created new opportunities for our charity and helped us to support many more people.”
Danielle Chan, also a Communications and Marketing Manager for Community Integrated Care, adds: “Our success shows that to be a successful brand, you don’t always need big budgets, if you have creativity, ambition and a great product. It is a real privilege to be able to promote the amazing work of our staff and the achievements of the people we support.”
