Our Okta partnership wins National Care Award
Community Integrated Care is delighted to take home the Best Business Initiative Award at this year’s National Care Awards for our partnership with technology experts, Okta.
Returning for the 25th year, the awards were hosted by leading social care publication, Caring Times Magazine, and took place in London on Friday 24th November.
The awards evening celebrated exceptional people, teams and initiatives across the social care sector, highlighting organisations that have gone above and beyond over the past 12 months to provide outstanding services to people who access care and support.
We were proud to see our partnership with Okta, and our collaborative work increasing digital inclusion across the social care sector, awarded the Business Initiative of the Year accolade.
Over the past 12 months, the partnership has launched a number of digital campaigns which have supported thousands of people to harness the power of technology to improve their lives. For example: using online search to access more opportunities in the community with The Big Adventure project, navigating the cost-of-living crisis with our online training resource, Taking Charge; and taking part in online events and experiences to alleviate loneliness and learn new skills via What To Do.
John Hughes, Director of Partnerships and Communities at Community Integrated Care, said, “To have been awarded Best Business Initiative of the Year for our partnership with Okta is fantastic, and it’s a testament to all we have achieved in our efforts towards increasing digital inclusion over the past 12 months. We’ve seen how access to technology and increased online confidence can be truly life-changing. Too often people with disabilities face barriers to harnessing this valuable resource, however, Okta understand the difference that an effective programme like this can make and share our passion to close the digital divide.”
He continued, “We’re really proud to have already supported thousands of people who draw on social care, and hundreds of colleagues across the sector, educating them on making the most out of digital platforms. We’d like to say a huge thank you to Okta for working so closely with us to bring these programmes to life, as well as providing generous donations of devices for the people we support. We can already see the huge difference that this is making across our charity as more people are experiencing incredible things that are contributing to their best life possible, thanks to the skills they’ve learnt and having access to the online world.”
Community Integrated Care is committed to working in partnership with organisations, brands and individuals to make a greater impact upon society, creating the best lives possible for the people we support, our colleagues and communities.
