Quality Advisor Attends Royal Garden Party

Today (25th May 2022), Sushma Majithia, a person supported and employed by Community Integrated Care as a Quality Advisor, will have the pleasure of attending one of the final royal garden parties of the season at Buckingham Palace.

As one of our charity’s ‘experts by experience’, Sushma has been supported by our charity for the past nine years – drawing on this experience to champion the views of the people we support and ensure that their voices are heard.

Following this incredible work advocating for other people supported within our charity, and considering her great love of the Royal family, Sushma was delighted to be invited to the royal garden parties before the pandemic, as an acknowledgment of her amazing contribution to our community.

Though the original event was cancelled on account of Covid-19, Sushma is thrilled to have been re-invited as the garden parties return this year. She will attend alongside her Support Worker and guest for the afternoon, Advanced Support Worker, Amrita Pancholi.

As part of this fantastic event, Sushma and Amrita will be documenting their journey from Leicester down to London live on our Instagram Stories.

Excited by everything there is to come, Sushma told us “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me! Community Integrated Care has changed my life, so I can’t wait to arrive and represent our charity at the palace.”

The garden party will begin at 4pm at Buckingham Palace, continuing until 6pm this evening.
