Sharing our insights at national sector events
Throughout May, colleagues from our charity were delighted to present at both national and international care sector events, to share our expertise and lessons learned in developing our partnership working and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) practice.
On Monday 13th May our charity’s Managing Director for our South Central region, Edd Terrey, joined key speakers including Sir Norman Lamb and Baroness Sheila Hollins at the National HOPE(S) NHSE Collaborative Progress and Future Planning Conference in Liverpool.
He shared how we’ve been working with Mersey Care through HOPE(S) to transform people’s lives and enable them to move from living in long stay hospital environments to living fulfilling lives at home, in their communities. You can read more about the insights Edd shared at the event here.
Meanwhile, on Thursday 16th May, our charity’s Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) team were delighted to attend and present at the 2024 Bild International PBS Conference in Liverpool.
They joined international speakers including experts by experience, PBS practitioners, professionals and academics from across the care sector, to deliver a session on the difference between service leadership and practice leadership. Learn more on this here.
Speaking on the event, Victoria Martin, Senior PBS Strategy and Practice Development Manager said, “We were delighted to be asked by BILD to present at their conference and share our charity’s approach to PBS and practice leadership. It’s something that we’re really passionate about. We’re always looking at how we can lead by example and continually improve and develop our practice so that the people we support live the best lives possible.”
