Speaking up for our sector on national news
Following the announcement of the Autumn Budget 2024 on Wednesday 30th November, Community Integrated Care has been proud to feature across national news channels, speaking up for social care and sharing insights into how the changes impact on our charity and the wider social care sector.
After sharing his response to the budget on Thursday, our Chief Executive Officer, Jim Kane, spoke live with Sky News on Friday 1st November 2024, exploring the impact of National Insurance changes and minimum wage increases, and how this will affect providers across the sector, without further funding.
Meanwhile, our Chief Quality & Risk Officer, Jemima Burnage featured on Sunday with Laura Kunessberg on BBC One, on 3rd November where she had the opportunity to share our charity’s concerns directly with Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves.
Reaching over 4 million people, Community Integrated Care shared this message far and wide, securing press coverage online and in print, including a feature in the Guardian exploring how the tax increases in the budget will lead to cuts and closures that could devastate the charity sector.
