Somerset House Win Incredible Care Award
In Tameside, our Somerset House team are delighted to have been named the winners of a prestigious CRISTAL Award!
Established in 2019, the CRISTAL Awards serve as a platform for Tameside Council and NHS Tameside to recognise excellence in social care – drawing greater attention to the individuals and teams delivering life-changing care and support across the region, and ensuring their efforts are celebrated.
The team, who support people with a range of disabilities in Ashton-Under-Lyne, proudly accepted the Celebrating Personalisation in Care Award in an exclusive awards evening on Friday 7th March. Recognising the team’s fantastic efforts, this accolade was introduced to recognise care teams who embrace a personalised approach in empowering people to live exciting, full lives.
Andrea Easter, Service Leader at Somerset House, said of the exciting news, “I am so proud to see the team win such a prestigious award, recognising them as amongst the very best in Tameside. At Somerset House, we proudly celebrate the individuality of the people we support, encourage their independence, and empower them to make their own choices in how they want to live their best lives. We work incredibly hard to support people’s life goals, so it is really heartening to see our efforts recognised. We’re over the moon!”
Paula Dodman, Assistant Managing Director at Community Integrated Care, shared, “We are all incredibly proud of everyone at Somerset House and know this win was very well-deserved! Each day, the team go above and beyond to break down barriers and empower the people they support to achieve their dreams. We’re delighted to receive this happy news – a big thank you to the judges for recognising the team’s efforts.”
