Somerset House Shortlisted for Care Award

A group of colleagues from Somerset House, a care service in Tameside, stand and smile togetherWe’re delighted to share that Somerset House, one of our services in the North West, has been shortlisted for a prestigious sector accolade at the CRISTAL Awards.

The team, who support people with a range of disabilities in Ashton-Under-Lyne, have been shortlisted for the Celebrating Personalisation in Care Award – an accolade introduced to recognise care teams who embrace a personalised approach in empowering people to live exciting, full lives.

Established in 2019, the CRISTAL Awards serve as a platform for Tameside Council and NHS Tameside to recognise excellence in social care – drawing greater attention to the individuals and teams delivering life-changing care and support across the region, and ensuring their efforts are celebrated.

Andrea Easter, Service Leader at Somerset House, said of the exciting news, “I am so proud to see the team shortlisted for such a prestigious award and recognised amongst the very best across the Tameside region. At Somerset House, we proudly celebrate the individuality of the people we support, encourage their independence, and empower them to make their own choices in how they want to live their best lives. We work incredibly hard to support people’s life goals, so it is really heartening to see our efforts recognised. We’re keeping our fingers crossed for a win!”

The winners of the award will be announced in an exclusive awards ceremony, taking place this evening (Friday 7th March) at Dukinfield Town Hall.
