Teresa joins Care Workers Charity Roundtable
On Wednesday 20th November, Community Integrated Care’s Chief People Officer, Teresa Exelby, joined representatives from across the social care sector for a virtual National Care Service Roundtable, hosted by Care Workers’ Charity (CWC).
The Care Workers’ Charity support the financial, professional and mental wellbeing of social care workers by making grants, signposting to resources and providing access to services.
On the theme of ‘Investing in Care’, the session brought together key voices from across social care, including frontline care workers, to explore the Fair Pay Agreement’s implications for care workers’ pay, working conditions, and how this might be integrated into a National Care Service framework.
Speaking of the session, Teresa said, “At Community Integrated Care, we know that care workers are the backbone of our communities, providing life-changing support to those who need it most. I was proud to join this important discussion with Care Worker’s Charity and frontline support teams, as we work towards a future where care workers receive the respect, value, and remuneration they so richly deserve.”
