Trustee awarded OBE in New Year’s Honours
Community Integrated Care would like to offer its sincere congratulation to our Trustee, Susan Brimelow, who was awarded an OBE in the New Year’s Honours.
Susan, who is Chief Inspector at the Healthcare Environment Inspectorate, received the honour in recognition of her Services to Patient Care and Safety.
She was appointed as the Chief Inspector of the Healthcare Environment Inspectorate at the end of September 2009. In her role, Susan leads inspection teams and, together with the involvement of the public, ensures that infection control measures within the hospital environment throughout NHS Scotland are of the highest standard. Susan is a Registered Nurse and has held a variety of posts in the NHS, Scottish Government and with the Care Commission in Scotland.
Susan joined Community Integrated Care in February 2014, as part of our commitment to securing the talents of leading experts in the social care and business sectors to our Board of Trustees, to contribute to our Five Year Strategy. She is also an active member of our Scottish Advisory Group, which reviews key social care policy issues in Scotland.
Neil Matthewman, Chief Executive of Community Integrated Care, says: “Susan has made an exceptional contribution to the health and social care sector throughout her distinguished career. We are delighted to see that she has received this worthy recognition. On behalf of Community Integrated Care, I would like to give Susan our sincere congratulations for this success.”
