Trustees Week Celebrations in Scotland

In celebration of Trustees Week, one of Community Integrated Care’s new services in Scotland was delighted to welcome a special guest on Wednesday 8th November, as a member of our Board of Trustees visited colleagues and people supported in Aberdeen. 

Joined by Regional Manager, Chris Dobosz, the visit provided a fantastic opportunity for Trustee, Wallace Dobbin, to visit Donald Dewar Court and learn more about the people supported there. The service joined Community Integrated Care in August as part of our charity’s merger with Scottish care provider, Inspire.

As well as meeting people we support and hearing from colleagues about their experiences of working in social care and recently joining our charity, Wallace was treated to a tour from a person supported, Phillip.

Wallace said, “It was wonderful to visit one of Community Integrated Care’s new services in Aberdeen and to meet the incredible team at Donald Dewar Court – it’s a joy to have them join our charity and contribute to the brilliant work of our teams across Scotland. The highlight of my day was meeting the lovely people supported, who were so happy and proud of their homes.”

Speaking of the visit, Chris Dobosz said, “We were delighted to welcome Wallace to Donald Dewar Court. Phillip really enjoyed showing him around and telling him all about his home and what he gets up to. For the team, it was great to meet one of Community Integrated Care’s Trustees and share our experiences of joining the charity, and provide a bit more insight into the work we do each day. We’re really grateful to Wallace for making time to visit us and would like to thank him for his support – especially as we celebrate Trustees Week!”
