Virgin Media volunteers decorate CIC home

Residents and staff at a Community Integrated Care service were delighted to welcome a team of volunteers from Virgin Media’s Data Services Department, who donned their overalls to help get the home Summer-ready!

The Peele Care Home in Wythenshawe was chosen by the ten-man volunteer team to be the lucky percipient of their volunteer hours, donated as part of Virgin’s Corporate Volunteering Scheme.  

In a jam-packed day the team helped to paint the reception and visitors areas of the home, as well as brighten up the service’s extensive gardens.

Lin Block, Home Manager at The Peele, says: “The team from Virgin Media have done an absolutely fantastic job and on behalf of everyone here, I would like to extend a huge thanks to them all so generously donating their time to us.”

“So much time and investment goes to making the residents’ areas beautiful, that it’s great to be able to have the opportunity to make our visitors areas just as lovely too. It’s really therapeutic for our residents to be able to spend time with their families and friends in lovely, peaceful surroundings.”
