Vocational Support backs Disability Awareness Day
Community Integrated Care’s Vocational Support team took part in the Disability Awareness Day celebrations in Warrington on Sunday 10th July, showcasing the life-changing benefits that supported employment offers.
Disability Awareness Day is the world’s largest not-for-profit voluntary-led disability exhibition. It is held annually within the grounds of Walton Hall Gardens in Warrington.
Vocational Support is an award-winning specialist service that supports people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health concerns to enjoy great work experiences, which meets their personal aspirations. It partners with a number of major employers, Including McDonalds, Costa Coffee and Pets at Home, as well as many smaller independent brands – creating successful work placements for people we support.
Renata Davies, Manager of Vocational Support, said: “We were delighted to participate in Disability Awareness Day, with people we support manning our stand and sharing how work has made a difference to their lives. They inspired many people and we were delighted to have received a lot of interest in the service that we deliver.”
