We attend Parliamentary Coffee Morning
Community Integrated Care was delighted to see colleagues and people we support attend Parliament on Wednesday 27th November for a ‘Meet Your Carers Parliamentary Coffee Morning’ hosted by Adult Social Care APPG.
The APPG is a cross party group of Parliamentarians, passionate about social care and the value it brings to local communities.
The event provided the opportunity for our teams to engage directly with MPs, ask important questions, and advocate for the future of adult social care.
Attending to represent our charity was our Chief Executive Officer, Jim Kane, Service Leaders Gill Edwards and Aimee Murray, Support Worker Chazile Mdakane, and Charlene, one of the people we support in Leicester.
Speaking of the opportunity, Gill said, “It was fantastic to attend the Parliamentary Coffee Morning and speak firsthand to MPs, all about the incredible work that our teams do, and the changes that we so desperately need to see for our social care sector. I was really proud to attend with Jim, Aimee, Chazile and Charlene to represent our workforce and stand up for social care.”
