We’re presenting at Scotland Policy Seminar

Our charity’s Chief Operating Officer, Karen Sheridan, will be joining Scotland Policy Conferences’ upcoming virtual keynote seminar on Thursday 26th August, to discuss adult social care in Scotland and to share some of our recent and upcoming initiatives at Community Integrated Care.

The seminar – ‘Next steps for adult social care in Scotland – service improvement, policy, funding, the workforce, stakeholder collaboration, and community-based support’ – will explore and examine next steps for social care policy. The conference will look at the measures that can be taken to deliver improvement in service provision, foster greater cohesion within the social care system, and support the care sector workforce.

Karen will be joining a panel discussion on ‘Supporting the adult social care workforce and meeting fair work principles – options for improving working conditions, wage levels, and parity of esteem with healthcare workers’ which is scheduled to take place at 10.50am.

Within the session, Karen will discuss a number of topics, including:

• How we acknowledge and deliver to Scotland’s fair work principles here at Community Integrated Care.
• Our Unfair To Care campaign and the impact this has had in the sector.
• How we are developing a 4-day week for our colleagues.
• Our charity’s approach to embracing technology.
