Pride Month 2024
Each June, Pride Month is marked across the globe to celebrate the spectrum of gender and sexuality and promote equality for the LGBTQIA+ community.
During this month, there are lots of ways you can show your support and learn about LGBTQIA+ issues. Take a look below for a summary of some useful resources and how you can get involved:
Pride Activity Pack
Our LGBTQIA+ Network Members have put together a special Pride Pack to enjoy in your services – with colouring-in sheets and a handy list of Pride parades across the country!
Click here to download the pack and start sparking conversations around Pride Month at your service. Make sure to share your photos on Viva Engage with the hashtag #PrideMonth if you attend a parade, too!
Pride Month Teams Background
We’ve also created a special Pride Month Microsoft Teams Background so you can show your support during the month. Click here to download the background – just right click and save the image.
What To Do events
At 2pm on 10th June, 12th June and 14th June, we’re delighted to be hosting a series of Pride-themed singing events on What To Do, to get all our people singing loud and proud!
Come along with the people you support, join our virtual choir, and meet people we support and colleagues from all over the UK. Visit What-To-Do.co.uk for more information and to find the links to join.
Join our LGBTQIA+ Colleague Inclusion Network
One of the best ways you can get involved during June and beyond is by joining our LGBTQIA+ Colleague Inclusion Network. Whether you are a member of the community or an ally, all colleagues are welcome to join the Network, where we discuss important LGBTQIA+ issues within the charity, and drive positive change all across the organisation.
Signing up is simple – just email ColleagueInclusionNetworks@c-i-c.co.uk and express your interest in joining the LGBTQIA+ Network. Through the group, you can help make our charity an even more diverse and inclusive place, so if you would like to join us, don’t delay!
